                                             U18's Trials 2010     

In 2009 Fremantle Spirit's under 18's team won the First Division championship and the Club intends to defend the title in 2010.  To be part of our successful squad, present players and interested candidates are invited to attend trials.  Opportunity will exist during the year to play reserves and possibly first team football.

Dates: 10th, 12th, 17th and 19th November, 2009

Location: Beeliar Oval, The Grange, Beeliar

Time: 6:00pm registration, 6:30 to 8:00pm trials

                                       15's & 16's Premier Trials

Fremantle Soccer Club will be continuing their junior trials for the coming 2010 season on the following dates:

15's & 16s Premier

Tuesday        2nd November 2009
Thursday       5th November 2009
Tuesday        10th November 2009
Thursday       12th November 2009

Tuesday 17th November 2009 if Required

All trials to be conducted at The Grange in Beeliar, 5.30pm registration of interest, 6.00pm start - 7.30pm approx finish.

These teams are considered a very important path into Fremantle’s Senior Teams. Our club focus is on youth development, the 15s will also travel to Malaysia in October to work with the Malaysian National Youth Squads, which will include 4 games with them, one game with the Arsenal Development Squad and finally trials with 2 super League Clubs. The 16s may also be attending on this tour.

(Please note trial dates above) Please come dressed appropriately with shin pads, boots and bring along a water bottle.

Fremantle youth taste success in Malaysia - 2009

This year's youth team achieved success once again in Malaysia. The squad comprising players from our 14's & 16's teams displayed good football and were more than a match for the local youth sides. Good results against the Kuala Lumpur Football Club Youth as well as a great win against the powerful Royal Selangor Sports Club youth has once again unveiled some players for the future. The pinnacle game was against the under 16's Malaysian National team which proved a very stern test and unfortunately our boys were defeated by the class and disciplined level of the national team. The boys acquitted themselves very well and have done the club very proud and ensured our relationship with Malaysian Football is very strong. The team arrived back in Perth on the 19th October. A big thank you to Marin Vlasich  - the tour manager for ensuring everything ran smoothly, John Teixeira - for coaching the team, Paul Wozny - Adviser/coach - for his valuable input, advice and experience & Paul Loveless - team trainer ensuring all the boys were well looked after. Also, a big thank you to all the parents who assisted on the trip and support they provided. Lastly, to all the boys who participated in this years trip for their good attitude and sportsmanship.

           Head Coach 2010

Fremantle Soccer Club (Inc.) with a proud history spanning thirty years in Western Australia invites applications from experienced persons for appointment as its Head Coach in 2010. Our Fremantle Spirit teams play at Wauhop Park in East Fremantle and train at Beeliar reserve in Meve Estate, Beeliar.

In 2009 our young league team (average age 22 years) finished a creditable 8th, our under 23’s (average age 18 years) finished 3rd and our under 18’s (average age 16.5 years) won the league.

The Head Coach will be responsible to the Committee for continuing the development of our teams, building a strong & competitive squad that will challenge for promotion into the Premier league within the next few years.

Our focus will continue to be developing our outstanding youth combined with strategic recruiting. More..........

 The Club Award Winners for 2009

Congratulations to all the major award winners for 2009.

     Under 18's - Champions 2009

Fremantle U/18's team have taken out the league championship on Saturday at Wauhop Park by defeating Wanneroo 3-1. Congratulations to the boys and coach Wally Aquino on a successful season with many of the boys stepping up to reserves as well as the Senior team this year. The final game of the season will be away against South West Phoenix however the final result will have no bearing on championship.

Congratulations to the Under 14's on being promoted next year into the Under 15's Premier League  

Well done to the Fremantle U/14's who gained promotion into the under 15's premier league for next season 2010. The boys finished second in the 1st division and a automatic placing in the U/15's top flight as well as finishing runner up in the top 4 cup. Well Done to coach Craig Lincoln and Marin Vlasich for a fine season.
